Shailene Woodley says she is not feeling or thinking about the pressure of playing Tris in Divergent.
Woodley takes on the central character in the big screen adaptation of the Veronica Roth novel of the same name: which is already one of the most talked about movies of 2014.
But the actress says that the film is quite different to the book and that allows her to feel less pressured when playing this role.
Speaking to Collider she said: No, I think that if I thought about that I might go insane. It’s funny because it’s based on the book but the movie that we’re making is a lot different from the book in a lot of ways.
"So there seems to be a bridge or gap between the two. It’s hard to associate between the fanbase; everyone is stressing about that but I don’t pay any attention to it. I’m so far removed from that world."
Neil Burger is in the director's chair for Divergent, while Theo James, Kate Winslet, Maggie Q. Ray Stevenson and Jay Courtney are all also on board.
Divergent is just one of the movies that we will be seeing Woodley in next year as she is also set to star in White Bird in a Blizzard and is currently filming The Fault of our Stars
Divergent is released 4th April 2014.
