James Cameron has announced that the Avatar sequels will be filmed in New Zealand.
The first Avatar film was shot in and around Wellington, New Zealand and Cameron is returning to work on the next three movies.
Speaking to reporters, Cameron announced: "It's quite a thrill to be officially saying that we're bringing the Avatar films to New Zealand.
"We had such a wonderful experience here making the first film."
The first of the sequels is scheduled to be released in 2016, and is already one of the most anticipated films.
It was 2009 when we were introduced to Pandora for the first time, as the film went on to become the highest grossing movies of all time.
There has been no official announcement about when filming could get underway, but it may start as early as next year.
A full cast list for the sequel is also to be announced.
