Zac Efron was keen for his role as a Marine in The Lucky One was an authentic as possible.
The actor is back on the big screen next month with the adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel alongside Taylor Schilling and Blythe Danner.
And in this interview Efron revealed that Marines worked alongside him for certain scenes and he told the staff sergeant to pull him up on anything that he did wrong.
Schilling talks about her character in the movie and she admits that she was drawn to Beth from the very first time that she read the screenplay.
The Lucky One teams Efron and Schilling up with filmmaker Scott Hicks and is the latest in a long line of Sparks' novels to be adapted into a movie.
The Lucky One is the first time we have seen Efron on the big screen since Valentine's Day while this film is the biggest of Schilling's career so far.
The Lucky One is released 2nd May.
