Daniel Craig as described David Fincher as the new Alfred Hitchcock.
Craig teams up with the visionary filmmaker for new movie The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, an adaptation of the Stieg Larsson novel.
And the actor had nothing bur praise for the filmmaker and what he achieves with his movies.
Speaking to The Press Association the actor said: "I genuinely feel like he's the closest thing we have to Hitchcock.
"People kind of compare him to [Stanley] Kubrick, but there's something else about him - something that he does with visuals and he does with actors.
"People kind of give career-defining performances in his movies."
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo has been met well by the critics and opened at number two at the UK box office.
There is already talk of adapting the second novel The Girl Who Played With Fire - which has been scheduled for a 2013 release.
