Clint Eastwood has played down talk that he is to appear in The Expendables 3 - joking that he may direct the movie instead.
No sooner had The Expendables 2 hit the big screen and there was already talk of another movie and names were banded about as to who could join the cast list.
Eastwood along with Harrison Ford and Nicholas Cage were three of the names tipped for the movie.
Speaking to Extra TV he said: "Probably not. I'm probably more apt to direct something. Maybe I'll direct Expendables 3.
"I haven't had the opportunity to see [The Expendables] yet. I haven't read any material."
Eastwood will be back on the big screen later this year with his new movie Trouble With The Curve - it will be his first acting role since Gran Torino back in 2009.
The film sees Eastwood team up with Amy Adams and John Goodman while Robert Lorenz, a long time collaborator with the actor, makes his directorial debut.
Trouble With The Curve is released 30th November.
