Ben Affleck has admitted that he doesn't want to choose between acting and directing and wants to continue working in front and behind the camera.
And Affleck is juggling both with his new project The Town, which sees him return to acting after the success of Gone Baby Gone, but he is also on the cast list with Jeremy Renner and Rebecca Hall.
Despite having a couple of acting projects in the pipeline, including a untitled Terrence Malick movie, he reveals that he would love to carry on doing both.
Speaking at the Toronto Film Festival he said: "I like acting, I like actors, it gives me tremendous joy. I hope I can keep doing it until I don't have the opportunity to do so any more. I also like directing, maybe I'm greedy but I like to do both."
"I don't feel it has to be separate, I feel it's compatible, it's nice to be directing a movie and also have a hand in it kind of. With a little luck I'll get to keep doing both.
"I'm going to act for a little bit this fall and then I don't know. It took me three years to go from Gone Baby Gone to this because I didn't feel right and I thought, well you've got to love it as much on day 700 as you did on day one and at first I didn't have that. Maybe it won't be quick but I'll try and be patient."
The Town is released 24th September.
