Dolly Parton's husband compared her hair to a "Q-tip".
The 70-year-old country singer - who recently celebrated 50 years of marriage with her husband Carl Thomas Dean - has admitted her spouse has likened her signature blonde do to a cotton swab.
Speaking openly about her partner's teasing on the Hallmark Channel 'Home & Family', the '9 to 5' hitmaker said: "It's nothing but a big white wad on my head!
"It's a funny thing because when I wear this big hair, because I'm so tiny, my husband always says I look like a Q-Tip."
The 'Joyful Noise' actress has revealed she began to don false hair pieces because of the music industry.
She explained: "Well, the higher the hair, as they say ... But actually, I like the curls. I like the different ones. Gospel singers and country singers just have to have that big hair. It's just a thing."
However, Dolly was forced to continue wearing wigs because the constant bleaching of her locks began to damage her natural tresses.
She said: "I used to try to keep my own hair teased as big as I like it, and having the bleach and all of that, it just broke off.
"I thought, 'Why am I going through all that? Why don't I just wear wigs? That way I never have a bad hair day! I have a big hair day, but not a bad hair day."
Meanwhile Dolly is set to premiere a sequel to her 'Coat of Many Colours' later this year titled 'Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love' , and is hoping to copy the success of last year's film, which attracted 16 million viewers.
Speaking previously, she said: "I was so overwhelmed and touched by how many people watched 'Coat of Many Colours' and their reaction to it.
"It is a true story from a very special time in my childhood ... I hope the viewers will fall in love all over again."
