H&M has reported a growth in profits following the launch of their Madonna clothes line.

The store has profits of 31% since the M by Madonna range hit the shelves in March.

'Madonna has an impressive feel for fashion and trends. She was extraordinarily style conscious, passionate and was involved in even the smallest details of every design. There is no doubt that Madonna's influence is reflected by the 'M by Madonna' line', stated Margareta van den Bosch, Head of Design at H&M.

However Madonna caused a stir earlier this year when she snubbed British fasion. She told Elle magazine: "I don't pay much attention to British women's style. I just run around in my tracksuit with my sunglasses on."

The 48-year-old also revealed she hates shopping for new outfits and prefers clothes to be brought to her.

Madonna moaned: "I have never liked shopping. I don't like going into a store and going through racks. So I'm happy to have girls to do it for me."

H&M has 1420 stores worldwide and recently announced plans to work with Itallian designer Roberto Cavalli on a new collection.
