Kate Walsh's estranged husband Alex Young is embroiled in a new court battle with Disney/ABC network president Stephen McPherson, after he attempted to subpoena the executive to testify at his divorce trial.
The Private Practise star's split from Young has turned ugly in recent months and now Walsh is trying to block her ex from claiming alimony in their divorce battle.
Meanwhile, he is attempting to expose the true value of the actress' assets in a bid to swing the judge's decision in his favor.
In his efforts to do so, Young has subpoenaed McPherson for a deposition to tell all about Walsh's financial situation.
Young's lawyer, Jeff Sturman, claims the TV executive has "unique" knowledge about Walsh's accounts because she is employed by his network as the star of the hit medical show.
But McPherson and lawyers working on behalf of ABC have hit back with legal papers of their own, asking a judge to issue a court order blocking the deposition, reports TMZ.com.
ABC's legal team insists Young is "harassing" their client, adding McPherson was not "running ABC Studios" when Walsh landed the lead role in the Grey's Anatomy spin-off.
Young's case against Disney/ABC bosses will be heard in court on 8 July (09).
