Embattled rapper DMX's estranged wife has added to the star's woes by announcing she plans to write a tell-all book about their relationship.
Tashera Simmons certainly has a lot of material to write about - she first met the boy who was to become her partner when she was 11.
The couple started dating at 18 and shares four kids, but Simmons recently revealed she's separated from DMX - real name Earl Simmons.
She hopes her book, which will hit stores and the Internet in September (10), will fill the gaps in her husband's autobiography E.A.R.L.: Ever Always Real Life.
She tells AllHipHop.com, "It's a memoir. It's the story about our life - and my life - together. My side of the story... I feel like in his book, he didn't really get into detail.
"I think that my book kinda explains everything... It's a positive tell-all... We go so far back, it's more than husband and wife... I think it's gonna be really inspirational."
DMX was recently sentenced to six months in prison after pleading guilty to charges of probation violation.
The hip-hop star appeared in court in Arizona last month (Mar10) when he confessed to five separate claims of probation violation by using illegal drugs.
A judge ordered DMX to spend time behind bars - but the rapper could escape the jail term and serve his sentence in rehab instead, after an appeal from a representative from the Pasadena Recovery Center in California.
The spokesperson approached the judge presiding over the case during the hearing and presented a letter from celebrity counsellor Dr. Drew Pinsky asking for permission to help DMX kick his drug habit at the treatment centre.
DMX spent time behind bars in 2009 on charges of drug possession, animal cruelty and theft, stemming from various arrests in 2008. He was sentenced to 18 months probation after his release in May (09) for verbally threatening a guard during his stint in prison.
