Foo Fighters have cancelled two gigs after confirming that Dave Grohl has broken his leg.
The frontman sustained the serious injury after falling into a security run during the band's concert in Gothenburg, Sweden, on Friday (12.06.15), and despite soldiering on to finish their hit 'Under Pressure' Dave was quickly whisked away to hospital for treatment.
Although remaining members Pat Smear, Nate Mendel, Taylor Hawkins and Chris Shifflet kept the audience amused by performing covers until the 46-year-old singer returned to finish off the show, the band have since been forced to pull two upcoming performances at the Pinkpop festival on Sunday (14.06.15) and at Switzerland's AFG Arena on June 16.
A spokesperson for the band said: "While the full extent of Dave's injuries are still being determined, it was confirmed at a post-show hospital visit that he sustained at least one fracture.
"As a result Foo Fighters have been forced to cancel their June 14 appearance at the Pinkpop Festival as well as their June 16 show at the AFG Arena in St. Gallen, Switzerland."
The rocker left fans shocked after taking the tumble but did his best to make it through the song before informing his audience that he had broken a bone.
He said: "I think I just broke my leg.
"I'm going to go to hospital. I'm going to fix my leg. And then I'm going to come back.
"You have my promise right now that the Foo Fighters - we're going to come back and finish the show."
Foo Fighters are scheduled to perform in the UK at Wembley Stadium next week followed by their set at Glastonbury on June 26.
