Hollywood star Sienna Miller has signed up with the climate change campaign Global Cool on an awareness raising, seven day tour of Mumbai and the surrounding area.The Alfie and Factory Girl star is visiting areas that are likely to be hardest hit by climate change and look at the ramifications of this. She is also hooking up with Bollywood stars in taking the campaign message to the biggest possible local audience.The actress joins a high profile list of the campaigns supporters that includes HRH Prince Charles and the Rt Hon Tony Blair. Speaking about the Global Cool campaign Tony Blair said "This is a wonderful initiative that I hope will inspire people the world over. Individuals can help by doing something themselves, but also by being part of a movement like Global Cool." The Global Cool campaign aims to get one billion people to take on the challenge of tackling climate change - and pledge reduce their personal CO2 emissions by one ton by signing up to www.globalcool.org.Sienna Millers trip is part of the Global Cools international programme of events over the coming year initially targeting those regions where climate-change will hit people the hardest. Meanwhile during her tour Ms Miller previewed the much anticipated Bollywood blockbuster Ganhi My Father saying after how moved she had been by the events depicted in the movie.During her current visit to India, Sienna Miller was invited to a special screening of Gandhi My Father. She says: "I just want to say what a beautiful piece of work it is, fantastically acted, beautifully directed, the way it is shot is stunning. And I'm so over whelmed, its just wonderful, wonderful piece of work and I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to see the film so very early, so thank you and congratulations to everyone involved."
Hollywood actors Will Smith and Goldie Hawn, who are known as Gandhi supporters, have already seen the films initial showreel and were deeply affected by the film. Smith was quoted as saying he was "very impressed with the canvas of the film and the emotional intensity of the actors".
