The 27-year-old reality TV star - who is known simply as Bear - has decided not to reprise his presenting gig when the show returns for another instalment next year after he was reportedly offered another job that will clash with the filming of the series three.
A source told The Sun Online: "Bear has been offered another gig and the dates clashed with 'Just Tattoo Of Us' filming so he has decided to leave. MTV tried their best to come up with a solution but it just wasn't possible. Once Bear was offered the other job, producers knew it was only a matter of time before he quit the show."
The former 'Celebrity Big Brother' winner's decision to walk away from the programme comes just weeks after he split from his co-star Charlotte Crosby following a row.
Bosses at MTV were trying to figure out a way to have both of them presenting on the show but separately so that they didn't have to work with one another anymore.
A source said recently: "Charlotte and Bear just can't work together since they broke up. One minute they love each other - the next it's hate.
"MTV are desperate to keep them both involved with the show, they don't want a 'him or her' situation. There are discussions taking place now to try and work it all out. They think they could split the show between them and have them present separate episodes. Scotty T would be great for Charlotte to work with but it's not clear at the moment who Stephen's co-presenter would be.
"No contracts have been signed yet. It could all change in a couple of days though - both sides are weighing up the options right now."
It's not yet known whether MTV will enlist Scotty T - who shot to fame on 'Geordie Shore' - to host the show full time with the 27-year-old beauty following Bear's exit.
