'Deadliest Catch's Sig Hansen has been rushed to hospital after suffering a suspected heart attack on screen.
The 49-year-old actor had to be airlifted to a local medical centre on Wednesday (02.03.16) after he collapsed and fell unconscious while shooting the Discovery Channel series onboard his ship, the Northwestern, according to TMZ.
The hard-working captain reportedly came back round after his fall and attempted to carry on fishing for crabs but the concerned camera crew encouraged him to seek medical advice before calling the air ambulance for assistance.
Sig's daughter later posted a photograph on her Instagram, which she has since deleted, of her father and her mother at the hospital where the boat owner was recuperating.
She accompanied the shot with the caption: "Capt survived the 'widowmaker' !! Beating a heart attack ain't easy. Welcome back boss (sic)."
A statement from the Discovery Channel later confirmed Sig had been checked over by doctors and was in "good spirits."
It said: "While Sig was determined to keep going, the crew acted swiftly and insisted that they dock to get him help. He was airlifted to Anchorage, Alaska, and immediately rushed to a medical facility. He is with his family and in good spirits."
The frightening incident comes just seven months after Sig's co-star Tony Lara, another captain who had appeared on the show, died of an apparent heart attack while attending the annual motorcycle rally in Sturgis, South Dakota.
