IRON MIKE TYSON CREDITS TROUBLED BRUNO
Badboy boxer MIKE TYSON has hailed FRANK BRUNO for his self-destructive and cocaine-fuelled behaviour during his divorce - insisting it is nobler to harm yourself than exact revenge.
Tyson, who succeeded Bruno as world heavyweight champion in 1996, admires Bruno's self-control but is surprised he didn't turn to violence or crime in the wake of such pain.
And he insists Bruno's former wife LAURA - with whom he has three children - is lucky to have escaped unscathed.
Tyson says, "I was in a similar kind of situation. When you get caught up in matters of the heart it's like a sickness. It's like having a broken arm, amnesia, a clogged up nose or even pneumonia or something.
"I think Frank handled it tremendously, especially when you consider the other more destructive options he had. Suppose he had killed that woman? God forbid.
"Suppose he had killed the kids or himself? That's how bad it gets.
