Following the incredible reception of Graham Coxon’s A+E album, on 28th May Parlophone will release the single ‘Ooh, Yeh Yeh’/’Seven Naked Valleys’.
‘Ooh, Yeh Yeh’ sounds like a woozy, febrile blues, which relates a tale that isn’t to dissimilar from a crossroads encounter with Beelzebub, 'It’s basically about bumping into the devil on Camden Road,' says Coxon.
It is backed with ‘Seven Naked Valleys’ - a quite literal flipside to ‘Ooh, Yeh Yeh’ - a song that finds Coxon riffing on guitar and sax and experimenting with an array of sounds, creating a hypnotic groove, showing the rich diversity of ‘A+E’ and why the album has caused such excitement and rightly been acclaimed as quite possibly the best of his career so far.
