Lou Pearlman isn’t going to let a jail cell stop him making a buck or two, and his plotting a return to the spotlight with his own reality TV show.
The music mogul who is the mastermind behind successful boybands Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync, is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence after being convicted of fraud last year.
Pearlman has teamed with reality TV producer Jonathan Murray to pitch the series, about a Florida rock band called Biteboy, reports the New York Post.
Branded as a cross between Making the Band and Charlie's Angels, Pearlman would give words of advice to his proteges from behind bars in the show, according to Tyler Gray, the author of a new book about the star, entitled The Hit Charade.
Detailing the production in Portfolio magazine, Gray writes, "It essentially would feature Lou's disembodied voice on a speakerphone. Biteboy, by any definition, is a long shot. No recording labels have ever shown any interest in Biteboy."
