Fall Out Boy's record delay

1 month ago 15th Oct 13:15

Fall Out Boy have postponed the release of their new album to avoid clashing with the US Presidential elections.

The emo rockers had previously said "it would be fun" to release 'Folie a Deux' on November 4 because it contains songs which are "relevant to the candidates", but have now opted for a December release because of the importance of the vote.

Posting on their official website, the band said: "This is not the election to be cute. This is the most important election of our time.

"We felt as though rather than making a commentary we were only riding the wave of the election.

"This seemed less and less like what we intended to do and more of a gimmick."

The album will now go on sale from December 16.
