In Wednesday's Daily rap Lil Wayne and Kanye West dominate BET Awards, DMX arrested again, Jacob the Jeweler given 30 months in prison and Game pushes album back.
Last night saw the Annual BET (Black Entertainment Television) Awards in Los Angeles, Ca and big winners this year at the event were Lil Wayne and Kanye West.
Lil Wayne who is the first Hip-Hop act to sell over a million records in just one week won the viewers choice award. Al Green was honored with the Life Time Achievement Award and Quincy Jones received the Humanitarian Award for his philanthropic endeavors.
DMX was arrested in Miami, Florida earlier this week for driving without a valid license. The rapper who is currently in trouble with authorities in Arizona, where he now resides, was released on $500 bail.
DMX born Earl Simmons is awaiting trial in Arizona on animal cruelty and narcotics charges after police raided his ranch in May of last year and found neglected dogs and the charred remains of others.
Jacob Arabov, more commonly known as Jacob the Jeweler was sentenced to thirty months behind bars yesterday for lying to federal agents about his involvement in a scam involving money laundering and the BMF (Black Mafia Family).
Arabov faked documents for the money laundering ring and to avoid charges of money laundering, he will turn over $2 million to authorities.
