According to the tabloids, Kate Moss decided to talk with a Manchester accent and told people she was a lookalike to fend off fans at a glam celeb party.

The supermodel, who was born and brought up in Croydon attempted to fool those who attended the re-opening of a Mayfair hotel in London last weekend.

When the famous mum of one was spoken to, she asserted that she was Mancunian copycat.

A guest at the bash is quoted as saying in the Sun newspaper: “People genuinely thought she was someone from Manchester who happened to look like Kate Moss. But the next day all the papers revealed it was her.”
