Roberto Cavalli has never been the shy and retiring type and now he been speaking out about the 'vulgar' way modern women dress.

"There is a real vulgarity in the way women dress at the moment," he said in an interview with the Telegrpah, "They show off too much and try too hard. They don't understand where the line is between sexy and vulgar. I know where that line is."

The legendary designer doesn't hold back in the interview with the newspaper and even has a pop at Kate Moss' Topshop label.

"Kate Moss's collection was badly made, stupid and bland; you see things like that everywhere. You can't just buy things for the label - it's ridiculous."

In fact he isn't a fan of any celebrity taking a stroll into the fashion business: "I'm very much against all these celebrities doing diffusion lines. Do I suddenly get up in the morning and say that I am going to start a singing career, with the horrible voice that I have?" he told the newspaper.

Despite feeling strongly about the issue, Cavalli is still keen to express his love for one such celebrity: "Victoria Beckham is such a fantastic woman," he said.
