Harvey Weinstein may be looking for a move into the fashion industry.
The powerful Hollywood movie producer is allegedly looking to make a fashion acquisition.
According to WWD, he is working with investors and the Hilco Consumer company, who are interested in the legendary fashion house Halston. Hilco's executive vice president, Richard Kaye confirmed the news but declined to elaborate further.
Weinstein is currently stepping out with Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman. Marchesa is one of the hottest labels in the industry and celebrity fans include Kate Winslet, Jennifer Lopez and Victoria Beckham.
At a recent interview during New York Fashion Week Weinstein told the press:" I walk down the street or into a room at Sundance and everyone wants to know what I think about their movies."
"I go to a fashion show and no one gives a shit what I think"
