Zarif has been announced as the support act for Beyonce’s upcoming UK tour. As a big fan of Beyonce, Zarif is absolutely thrilled to get the opportunity to tour with her idol. Zarif has already performed a duet with John Legend and supported Chris Brown on tour this year.
The child of a Scottish father and Iranian Jewish mother, the 25-year-old Londoner was spotted by legendary DJ/producer duo ‘The Nextmen’ at an Open Mic Session in London, and they immediately asked her to be the featured vocalist on 3 tracks on their recent album, including the single ‘Something Got You’. This lead to her performing at countless festivals last summer including Glastonbury, Global Gathering, a guest spot at Fabric Live, and this year Zarif has already been confirmed for ‘V’ and Wireless.
Her explosive, sassy, feel-good single ‘Over’ will be released on June 29th and is written by Zarif. It’s edgy pop with a killer chorus which will go round and round in your head.
Zarif’s eclectic debut album will follow later in the year and features production from the likes of Fraser T Smith (James Morrison, Kano), Tommy D (Kanye West, Jay-Z, Corinne Bailey-Rae), Blair Makichan (Lilly Allen) and Full Phatt (Rolling Stones, Christina Milian).
