Shia LaBeouf thinks acting is a "p***y profession".
The 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' star - who started acting on Disney TV show 'Even Stevens' - used to believe that acting was one of the easiest jobs in the world.
He said: "It seemed like a really p***y profession. They were paying me to have pie fights."
The 23-year-old actor also said that while he regrets being arrested for smoking in Burbank, California, and loitering in a Walgreens pharmacy, he is determined to learn from his mistakes.
He added: "There are mistakes that I am going to have to make in my life, to grow, but those mistakes seem so permanent when everyone is talking about them. You almost want to be a recluse - but I need to live life, to experience pain so I can show up on set and express that.
"I'm not complaining about it. It's the life I chose, but fame is just weird in general. It doesn't get normal. I think when it does you become an a**hole."
