TEXAS TO PERFORM OVER RIVER THAMES
Scottish stars TEXAS will make history next month (06SEP05), when they become the first band to perform at London's famous Tower Bridge landmark.
The BLACK EYED BOY hitmakers will play in one of the tiny rooms in one of the towers in the 111-year-old bridge, which crosses the River Thames.
Frontwoman SHARLEEN SPITERI enthuses, "We have played some of the top locations all over the world and this one is right up there with the best of them."
Former BLUE star SIMON WEBBE is embarrassed by his recent encounter with childhood idol JANET JACKSON - because his starstruck mumbling sounded like a sleazy chat-up line.
The LAY YOUR HANDS singer blames alcohol for his misunderstood bedroom comments which left the star stunned - even though all he wanted to tell her was her picture adorned his wall.
Webbe says, "I met Janet recently and told her, 'You're over my bed!' She just said, 'Okaaay,' and looked horrified.
"I tried to explain that I was talking about a two foot poster of her, but somehow I made it worse.
"I wasn't trying to pull her and I don't why I said it. I think it was the drink."
