Chad Kroeger Banned From Driving....
Latest: Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger has been sentenced to a one-year driving ban and a $600 (£300) fine after he was convicted of drink-driving.
The singer as arrested on 22 June (06) in British Columbia, Canada after police stopped him for speeding. He was then charged with impaired driving and having a blood alcohol level over the legal limit.
The 33-year-old star pleaded not guilty to the driving under the influence charge in November last year (07) and was finally sentenced on Thursday (01May08).
But the star's lawyers announced they intend to appeal against the sentence, arguing that police violated Kroeger's rights when they made him take the breath test.
