Carey & Fergie To Play Dubai....
Mariah Carey and Fergie are to team up for a mega-gig in the Middle East.
The two divas will perform in Dubai next week (15-16May08) at The Festival, which recently hosted a sell-out Akon show.
Carey's show, her second in Dubai, will be her first since she wed Nick Cannon last week (30Apr08).
The shows will also mark Fergie's second Dubai show, according to Hollywood.TV. She last performed there as a member of the Black Eyed Peas in 2006.
Meanwhile the pop star Fergie refused to record the theme to the new Sex & The City film until she'd seen a sneak peek of the movie.
The Black Eyed Peas singer was the first choice to record the big song, but she insisted she was too busy - until writer/director Michael Patrick King agreed to let Fergie see the film before anyone else.
He reveals, "When we first approached Fergie, her music company said she's really, really busy and then she said very bargainy, 'Let me see the movie!' "So we had a private bootleg screening for Fergie... and then recorded it almost immediately."
