Christina Ricci says she cried when she had her hair cut for her recent role in 'Speed Racer'.
The actress played lead character Trixie in the racing film and says her physical transformation was the only challenge the role required.
She said: "I didn't enjoy my haircut but that's really the only challenge.
"When you have long hair and then, all of a sudden, you get a really drastic haircut, you know, us ladies, we cry.
"But, other than that, she was a great character to play. She was amazing and fun and they dressed me up like a doll every day but then I got to do all this actiony stuff and had a really good time."
The actress said she enjoyed making the movie - but admitted filming some of the racing scenes made her ill.
She said: "I did get a little hurt. You get banged around in the gimbal thing so much and you end up with bruises. At one point, I had to get out and throw up and then get back in because it's a lot of shaking and craziness but it was just really fun. I had a good time.
