Angelina Jolie slapped her co-star when he kissed her.
Jason Butler Harner says he surprised his 'Changeling' co-star with a kiss after getting approval for the improvisation from director Clint Eastwood - and says he was delighted by Angelina's response.
Jason told MTV: "I try to be selective with my improvising.
"I had talked to Angelina at the beginning of the day. We had a big scene, and we're supposed to be coming out of our corners, so it was a 'How do we do this?'
"Clint approved [of the kiss]. He said he could see it happening and he said, 'Do it and we'll see what happens.'"
Despite warning the director of his intentions, Jason deliberately kept Angelina in the dark in order to get the best possible response from the actress.
Talking about her reaction to the kiss, Jason revealed: "She slapped me and she held me and she hit me and it was great. She totally went with it. She's really smart. She's beautiful, but she's really smart, and she's a great actress."
