Aaron Carter's former fiancée has blasted the singer saying he is dogged with "emotional problems".
Kari Ann Peniche was left heartbroken when the 18-year-old called off their engagement just days after he proposed to the Playboy Playmate on stage in Las Vegas.
She told Playboy Sirius Radio: "We realized that at our age, we weren't quite ready for the commitment of marriage. Aaron has a lot of emotional problems.
"I just want him to get healthy and happy. I just want him to become stable."
When asked if drugs may have had a bearing on the split, Kari replied: "No, not influencing, but I think maybe it's his way of dealing with his emotions."
Earlier this week Aaron discussed the split with Us magazine.
He explained: "I got caught up in the moment and proposed. I then realized it was a hasty thing to do and I am not ready for marriage quite yet.
