The X Factor final 12 were revealed last night and there was bound to be some controversy over who made it and who didn’t, but I don’t think any of us were prepared for the backlash against Cheryl Cole and her decision to keep Katie Waissel and Cher Lloyd over Zimbabwe-born favourite Gamu Nhengu after the pair fluffed their performances.
Personally I preferred both Cher and Katie over Gamu, but this isn't about me is it? The British public are raging over Chezza's decision, especially as Katie - who allegedly knows several Sony BMG execs - is being accused of being planted in the show by ITV bosses to go through to the live rounds, regardless of whether she performed well in the auditions or not.
Unsurprisingly then, it's thought that Gamu could be given another show as X Factor judges are said to be planning to bring back a “wildcard” contestant for the live rounds.
That said, we are pretty happy with Rebecca Ferguson making it into Cheryl's top three… her voice makes me want to grab a hairbrush and sing Whitney Houston.
So, what do you think? Did Cheryl make the right decision?
