Biffy Clyro Performing "Many Of Horror" On Their Current Tour

Last night I sat in front of the TV with a glass of wine and a Chinese takeaway, wondering who I wanted to win The X Factor. Personally I'd been backing Katie Waissel until she got booted out, but then, last night, I was left completely baffled.

So, Matt is clearly a hunk, he's been consistent every week, BUT he only bothered to answer half of our interview questions, whilst Rebecca had a stunning voice - like nothing I've heard for years - but I didn’t feel she delivered every week…

I was starting to lean towards Matt by about half eight, until he came out and announced that his winners single was going to be a cover of Biffy Clyro's, "Many Of Horror" - only, he'd decided to change the song title to "When We Collide." - so I was back to Team Rebecca.

Obviously she ended up finishing second, which meant Matt's version of the Biffy single will enter the race for Christmas Number One… and you, the Great British Public, have just under one week to decide who makes it to the topspot…

Already there are Facebook groups dedicated to the original Biffy Clyro track making it to the top of the charts, in much the same vein as Rage Against The Machine did last year, but I wonder if the novelty of getting a 'wildcard' into the topspot might have worn off by now… after all, if Matt does clinch the top prize in music, it WILL mean Simon Neil pockets are lined with dough, and they can put on an even bigger and better show for us all next time they tour… besides, they're finally getting the recognition in the 'mainstream' arena that they so truly deserve.
