Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora has checked into rehab.The 47-year-old guitarist has entered an undisclosed rehab facility to treat
a currently unknown substance abuse problem.A statement released to website People.com reads, "Richie Sambora has entered
an undisclosed treatment facility in Los Angeles. He asks that you respect he
and his family's privacy at this time."
Sambora's divorce from actress Heather Locklear was finalised in April (07)
and he split from girlfriend Denise Richards earlier this year (07).Bon Jovi achieved large scale success when they launched in 1983, consisting of lead singe
Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora on lead and rythm guitar, David Bryan on keyboards,
Alec John Such on bass and Tico Torres on drums, and have gone on to sell 40 million albums
in the U.S alone and 120 million worldwide.This summer sees the band release there tenth studion album Lost Highway. But the band
confirmed that there would be no world tour to promote the album, making this the first
studio album since 7800 degrees Fahrenheit over twenty years ago.However rumours are circulating that a gretest hits album may be released towrds the end
of the year and a tour is expected early in 2008.
