'Die Another Day' star Pierce Brosnan has revealed Hollywood bosses begged him to return as James Bond. The handsome actor - who played the suave spy in four movies - was droppedby 007 production company Eon - but when Sony Pictures bought Bond film studios MGM, he says they desperately wanted the Irishman to come back. Brosnan told Britain's GQ magazine: "Sony are pulling their hair out over it apparently. I was in their office just a few weeks ago, pitching 'The Thomas Crown Affair 2'. They said, 'Come back,' and I said, 'It's not up to me, guys.'"I think I was just caught up between the egos of the producers and thestudios, really."Meanwhile, Pierce has slammed reports he was dropped for asking for $20million for the next movie - claiming he only requested half that.He said: "Twenty million? Oh no! Rubbish! For God's sake! B*****ks! No way! No, it was a handsome round figure, of maybe $10million, or something like
that. Given what the films make, it's a spit in the bucket. I wasn't being greedy."
