Cameron Diaz's former money manager Dana Giacchetto has been ordered to
surrender all potential earnings arising from his new book following a court
conviction.
The advisor was convicted in 2001 of siphoning money from existing clients'
accounts into those of his Hollywood clients, while being found guilty of
stealing $10 million (£5 million) from celebrities to fund a lavish lifestyle.His book - You Will Make Money In Your Sleep: The Story Of Dana Giacchetto,
Financial Adviser To The Stars - has sold approximately 300 copies since its
release in June this year (07).But following the new ruling, Giacchetto no
longer holds the rights to any movie, television adaptation of serialisation of
the book, reports the New York Daily News.Giacchetto who's clients included leonardo DiCaprio,Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim Roth was
convicted in 2001 of improperly diverting funds from his high profile clients to the accounts
of other clients.He pleaded guilty to the charges and was handed a four year and nine month prison sentence and
was ordered to pay almost $10 millon in damages to his former clients.He was released after serving thirty three months of his sentence.
