Release Albatross as first single from new album on 2nd May
Wild Beasts release their new single, Albatross, on Monday the 2nd of May 2011. The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming album Smother, following on the 9th of May. A very special 7 vinyl version of Albatross will also be available exclusively through Record Store Day outlets on the 16th of April.
Albatross embodies the spirit of Wild Beasts’ third album in its tone and texture. Its layers of abstract sounds are combined to form something typically bold and unique. The single sees the band shed their old skin for a fresh blueprint, combining their distinctive vocal, piano and guitar driven melodies with lush electronic sounds. It is Wild Beasts delving deeper, finding a music even more intimate and personal.
The single track is available digitally now, with the bundle being made available on May 2nd.
