Arcade Fire

Arcade Fire have been forced to scrap an upcoming show in Portugal - because their visit coincides with a NATO summit.

The band was billed to perform in Lisbon on 18 November, but "security concerns" have prompted city officials to pull the plug on the gig at the Atlantic Pavilion.

Reports suggest the group offered to bring the show forward by a day, but organisers of the political get together insisted it would not be feasible. A statement from manager Scott Rodger reads, "The band are disappointed to be forced into this situation but there's nothing more we can do... We'll endeavor to get back to see our fans in Portugal as soon as we can."
