‘In The Air’ is the new single from Australia’s biggest dance outfit, TV Rock.
Signed to Data from Axwell’s Axtone imprint, ‘In The Air’ has now been given a special re-edit by the Swedish House Mafia don himself. Pete Tong made it an Essential New Tune early doors, and the track is now on the Radio 1 B List, setting the scene for TV Rock’s first major UK hit.
Championed by Kiss and Galaxy’s leading specialist shows, ‘In The Air’ recently entered the Cool Cuts chart at No.4 and has already clocked up over an astonishing 1.5 million views across Youtube. The HUGE reactions in commercial clubland have already heralded ‘In The Air’ as one of the first anthems of 2010 following in the footsteps of DATA’s mega chart smash ‘Riverside’ by Sidney Samson.
In addition to two ARIA awards, the duo of Grant Smillie and Ivan Gough hold the record for the longest time spent inside the Australian Top 10 for their debut single ‘Flaunt It’. The follow-up, ‘Been A Long Time’, returned them to No.1, and became a worldwide club hit. Featuring vocals from the Southern Hemisphere’s leading dance vocalist, Rudy, ‘In The Air’ is their next anthem in waiting.
In addition to TV Rock’s impressive production pedigree, they’ve remixed a who’s who of dance music, with rerubs of Groove Armada, Sander Kleinenberg, Axwell, Armand Van Helden, Tiesto, Calvin Harris, Paul Van Dyk, and many more.
Club-wise, Grant and Ivan have been smashing worldwide dancefloors for the past few years, with headline shows at Ministry Of Sound, Cream, Pacha, and beyond. They’ve notched up once in a lifetime gigs at Sensation in front of 40,000 clubbers, played to an audience of millions at the MTV Awards and provided the pre-game beats for the Australian Open Men’s Tennis finals.
Remixes for ‘In The Air’ come from Axwell, Grum, TV Rock vs Luke Chable, A1 Bassline, Tristan D, and drum & bass’s leading light, Blame.
Further new material from TV Rock will be released later this year.
