Martin interrupts Phil and Ben. Phil tells Martin that he made allowances about the other night but Martin’s luck is running out. Martin stops Peggy to remind her that Phil too has had a child snatched from him. Martin blames Jane for Sonia’s disappearance. Peggy questions Phil about Martin’s accusations. Stella overhears the conversation and grows increasingly uncomfortable about Phil’s involvement. Martin questions Carly about Phil. Minty tries to stop Martin as he searches the Arches for clues. The police visit Phil at the Vic to ask more questions. Martin tries to make Stella feel guilty in the hope that she’ll give him some info on Sonia but she doesn’t know anything. Martin is distracted by the police – he’s keen to hear what happened when they questioned Phil. Peggy and Stella question Phil about what is going on. Phil snaps and tells Stella to take Ben swimming before leaving. Phil bursts into the Fowler’s and threatens Martin. Martin brings up Louise and soon realises that Phil didn’t know that Sonia was going to snatch Rebecca. Stella is irritated when Ben jumps out of the car on the pretext that he’s forgotten his goggles. Stella looks for Ben upstairs at the Vic. Phil arrives home and when Stella tells him she can’t find Ben, Phil is immediately suspicious. Phil discovers Ben’s bag in the bushes and heads for the Fowler’s. He receives a call on his mobile from Martin. As he looks for Ben, Martin taunts him on his mobile. Phil is horrified when he realises that Martin is on the railway bridge with Ben…Carly is angry that Shirley is still in the house. Kevin reassures her that it is only for a couple of days – Deano needs her. Dawn approaches Carly and tells her that the termination is booked for that afternoon. Shirley visits Kevin at the portacabin. He warns her not to push him too far. Carly tries to persuade Dawn to talk to Rob but Dawn won’t be swayed – she’s realised that Rob’s feelings for her aren’t as strong as she thought. Kevin tells Carly that they can pick Deano up from the hospital. Carly doesn’t want Shirley to come. Deano comments to Shirley that she couldn’t be bothered to come to the hospital. Carly and Shirley compete to make Deano comfortable. Shirley is struggling with the situation and tells Kevin that she’s moving on – she can’t handle the way the kids are treating her. Whilst watching Stacey, Max is interrupted by Tanya who is worried about Abi and her school play. Tanya is impressed by Max drumming up family support for Abi’s play. Stacey mocks him about being a family man but he tells her he has realised what is important in his life. Max is trying to persuade Dot and Jim to come to Abi’s play. Dot can’t make it but forces Jim to attend. Stacey wishes the Branning family well for Abi’s play. Things are awkward for Max when Tanya asks Stacey to take a family photograph.
