The Game In Stitches After Slashing Hand During Video Stunt

Rapper The Game was forced to undergo hospital treatment on Thursday (13Jan11) after slashing open his finger when a stage stunt for a video shoot went awry.

The hip-hop star was shooting a music video with Snoop Dogg in Los Angeles and was expected to smash a guitar in one of the promo's sequences.

But he smashed the instrument on the ground so hard, a razor-sharp shard of plastic sliced through his finger, leaving it pouring with blood.

The Game, real name Jayceon Taylor, was taken to a nearby hospital where his wound was stitched up, according to TMZ.com.

West & Jay-Z Album Causing Delay In Crs Project

Rapper Lupe Fiasco's planned group collaboration with Kanye West and Pharrell Williams has been put on hold as a result of the Stronger hitmaker's joint album with Jay-Z.

West has been working on a new EP with the Empire State of Mind mogul called Watch The Throne, and the pair's first single, H.A.M., premiered online earlier this week (begs10Jan11).

But the highly-anticipated project has forced West to scale back his work with the supergroup he formed with Fiasco and Williams, Child Rebel Soldiers (CRS) - and now Fiasco fears they will never find the time to record together.

He says, "I think the Jay-Z/Kanye collabo kinda was like, 'Aww man, aww no.' Whenever we get to go in (the studio) and have the time and the opportunity to do it, we're always working on some other project. Pharrell gon' do a soundtrack for a movie, Kanye does another project."

Watch The Throne is expected to be released in March (11).

Monch And Grae Raising Funds For Australian Flood Relief

American rappers Pharoahe Monch and Jean Grae are pitching in to help raise funds for flood victims in Australia by performing two benefit shows in the country.

Thousands of residents in Queensland have been left homeless after the country was hit by some of its worst floods in history and at least 19 lives have been lost in the disaster.

The two hip-hop stars have witnessed the devastation first-hand while on tour Down Under and they have decided to chip in to boost relief efforts.

Monch and Grae hit the stage on Friday night (14Jan11) to perform at the Corner Hotel in Queensland, and they will play another charity gig on 19 January (11), with all proceeds donated to the local government's Disaster Relief Appeal.

Diddy Teaming With House Star For Joint Album

Rap mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs is moving away from his hip-hop roots for his next album - he's working on a collaborative project with house producer/DJ Guy Gerber.

The hip-hop star, formerly known as Puff Daddy, enlisted the help of the Israeli beatmaker to come up with the intro to his group Diddy-Dirty Money's latest release Last Train To Paris, and he's become such a big fan of Gerber's work, he's been hitting the studio with him to make an entire record, according to the DJ himself.

And the producer, who has established a big fan base in Europe, is excited about their new sound.

Gerber tells Pulse Radio, "I’ve just finished a project that I’ve been working on with Puff Daddy, it will be my main album for the next year. As a musician I believe in evolution rather than just doing one particular thing."
