Jamie Bell has not heard from his father since he walked out on the family following the actor's meteoritic rise to fame in hit British film Billy Elliott. The young actor insists he wasn't phased by his father's disappearance from his life, because he was never really part of it.He says, "It makes no real difference because he was never there. Never having it (support from father), you don't really miss it.""(My mother) raised me and my sister herself. That was incredibly difficult."Billy Elliott propelled the young Jamie Bell to stardom in 2000 for which he won BAFTA for Best Actor.Since then he has undertaken a number of diverse roles including Deathwatch and Undertow.He made the switch to the Blockbister movie appearing alongside Naomi Watts and Adrian Brody in Peter Jackson's King Kong and in Clint Eastwood's Flags of our Fathers.
