BRIAN RENNIE ANNOUNCES HIS DEPARTURE FROM ULTIMO COUTURE / MJM INTERNATIONAL
Glasgow, 24th February 2011 – Celebrity fashion designer Brian Rennie, has today resigned as Creative Director of Ultimo Couture, with immediate effect.
Brian was appointed the creative director of Ultimo Couture (part of the MJM International Group) in 2010, to design a range of luxury red carpet dresses for the brand for high street retailer Debenhams. He has also just completed the Ultimo Couture bridal gowns, which were exclusively designed by Brian Rennie and presented last month, January 2011.
Brian Rennie said: “I love Scotland but have decided it is best to move on. There are so many exciting projects in the pipeline and I am looking forward to an exciting future.”
The Dundee born designer is well know in international fashion circles, where he has designed gowns for Halle Berry, Kim Bassinger and dressed celebrities such as Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Jessica Alba, Paris Hilton, Jerry Hall and Catherine Zeta Jones.
Brian was Design Director of global brand ESCADA for 20 years, and thereafter luxury brand GANT, relocating him to Stockholm, Sweden.
A spokesman for Brian Rennie added: “Brian is a well respected fashion player in the international circuit. There have been several opportunities presented to him and he will be announcing an exciting development very shortly. With someone of his talent and creative expertise, it’s no surprise Scotland couldn’t hold on to him.”
