Manolo Blahnik the shoe maker made famous by Sex and the City is to be immortalised when he receives the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award in LA in September.

The Rodeo Drive Committee and the City of Beverley Hills has awarded Blahnik with its 12th annual Walk of Style Award in recognition of the designer's impact on the world of fashion within the entertainment industry.
Giorgio Armani was the first to win the award in 2003 and following in his footsteps Blahnik will receive a plaque to adorn with his signature and a quote that will sit on the famous Los Angeles pavement.
Wanda McDaniel, chairman of the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style selections committee, told The Daily: "Manolo Blahnik's relationship with the entertainment industry is legendary.
TV series Absolutely Fabulous and Sex and the City popularised Manolo Blahnik making the brand into a household name while Blahnik added style to the shows with an essence of style, art and luxury, she added.
