Pop star Aaron Carter is engaged to a Playboy Playmate.
The 18-year-old singer - the brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter - proposed to Kari Ann Peniche onstage in Las Vegas on Saturday (16.09.06), in front of an audience of 200 people.
Peniche gushed: "I'm very excited about it. Aaron is the most genuine person I know. He's kind, loving, and I love him so much."
The 22-year-old beauty confessed she was left absolutely stunned by Carter's surprise declaration of love, made during the Playboy's Hollywood Comedy Tour show at the Palms Casino Resort.
She added: "I don't remember it happening. It was such a blur. I had no idea he was going to do this, but I'm glad he did."
The happy couple plan to tie the knot in six months time.
However, the groom-to-be's father Bob Carter says he has been left completely in the dark about the pending nuptials.
