Adam Sandler's brother told him he was a "mistake" when he was growing up.

The 'Click' actor - who recently became a dad for the first time - has revealed his older sibling Scott constantly tormented him by telling him he was unwanted.

Sandler, 39, has finally been reassured by his mother, Judy, that he was wanted.

In the new edition of America's Parade magazine, the 'Happy Gilmore' star asks his mom if she and his dad, Stan, who died two years ago, planned to have him, to which she replies: "I guess you were a mistake for your older brother, but not for us. I just remember that we said, 'Let's have another baby'."

The actor, and his wife Jackie Titone, welcomed their daughter, Sadie Madison, into the world last month.
