Amitabh Bachchan Surrenders Land....
Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has surrendered his farmland following accusations he acquired plots by falsely declaring himself a farmer.
The 64-year-old actor owned land in the states of Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, which his wife, Jaya, represents in parliament .
But the star came under fire for using his political contacts to be designated as a farmer after a court in Uttar Pradesh ruled that a 1983 certificate identifying Bachchan as a farmer was forged.
Bachchan has agreed to surrender the land and has given it to local farmers.
