Since i just lost 10st, I thought I'd treat myself to some nice, fashionable clothes.
Problem is, Im 45. I haven shopped for fashionable clothes for quite a long time.
My daughter says I dress too young at the moment, that I dress like a 20 year old. Should I now be wearing floral skirts and cardigans like me mum?
Definitly not. Me and my Mum shop together all the time, she buys clothes in the same shops as me. She just avoids the mini skirts and crop tops. And she looks great.

I'm 39, turning 40 in Nov, and I wear hip hugger bell bottoms, t-shirts, clunky 70s style boots or sneakers. All the time. And my hair is long and I wear it bone straight or slightly wavy and sometimes in pig tails with a ball cap. I look like I just walked out of the 70s most days. I hate wearing frilly skirts and dresses and 'lady like' out fits. I'm comfy in my jeans and t's and if others dont' like it then that's just too bad.
And everyone thinks I'm 30! Bonus!!
Dress how you're comfortable. Who cares if someone thinks you're 'too old to be wearing that'! I figure I was a kid in the 70s and I wore bell bottoms back then so there's no reason why I can't do it now.
Of course your daughter will think you dress too young. To her you should be dressing matronly. Maybe you can compromise and buy an outfit or 2 that's a bit more 'age appropriate' but as Lisa said, as long as you stay away from the minis and crop tops I don't see why you can't wear what ever you want.
You just lost 10st and you should treat yourself to some funky new hip clothes! Get your daughter to go on a big old shopping spree with you and have some fun!
