Belly button piercings - Sexy or Slutty?

I just got my belly button pierced about 2 weeks ago, and now I'm not sure if it was the right thing to do. If you saw a 14 year old girl with her belly button pierced, what would you think of her? I'm not too sure if this will give the wrong impression of me out there.

Speaking as a guy, I'd think "why do think that's worth having?" I don't think they are sexy or extremely slutty, just a kind 'downmarket' overkill. To me, they have a gratuitous 'let's hang something there because it's a convenient place to pierce the skin' look, and they keep getting worse now that some are dangling down about 3 inches! You very rarely see a girl that has real class with one, it's mostly 'chav' types. I don't think age is the key factor; they don't look any better on a 20/30/40 year old!

You clearly have doubts, so I'd suggest you remove it and go for a more sophisticated look.

If you like it then keep wearing it. It is your body and you are dressing it to please you, as well as others. Personally i would stay away from big dangly jewellery. Keep it small, pretty and sophisticated.

Overall it says to me that you are confident in yourself and like pretty and sexy things. Sluttiness is an attitude, not what you wear.

I agree with Nameless' original post. When I was 18 (I'm 23 now) I considered getting my bellybutton pierced because I had some slightly chavvy mates who were getting theirs done and they asked me if I was going to do it. I seriously considered it but eventually decided against it and I'm SO glad because I love my naked bellybutton as it's a really nice shape (and when I mentioned it to my boyfriend when I was 19 he said he was SO glad I hadn't) and I don't feel common...as I would have if I'd had it done.

they look cheap and dated. Its personal opinion though. However i'm 21 and think i'm a sexy classy girl, and i wouldn't dream of having my belly button pierced. It looks so un individual. My chavvy friends all have theirs done, i love them all but i can't say they look good :/ they used to be like...ooo why don't you get yours done and i was like "ooo so we can all look the same!!!) never in a million years ....vile in my opinion

women have different thoughts than men a lot of times although not always. I think belly button and nipple piercings are the sexiest thing I have ever seen on a woman and I know there are a lot of guys I know that feel the same. If you feel like you want it then do it, after all it is your body and it is probably sexy
