My girlfriend and I have just moved into gether and I am sure she is trying to either kill me or put me off her cooking for life, she tells me she cant cook, I thought it was just a joke I can manage some meals but I cant last on her takerways every time its her turn. Would she take the hump if I asked her to go on a cooking course. its doing my head in |

Come on Andy ! She's told you she can't cook. Some people just don't have that talent nor the inclination. I bet you wouldn't like being shoved to do needlepoint so don't shove her. Learn to cook yourself and take responsibility in the relationship for that small part.
You are a man. Be one. A man can do anything he sets his mind to. All the best cooks are men. Why expect only women to cook? I see you are doing your part but in this instance it will have to be the whole. Find out what she would like, really like, to be fully responsible for and encourage her there. |

Find some easy meals that are like ready meals but slightly more complicated - eg fresh pasta, meatballs and a sauce.
Basically meals that involve heating 2-3 things up and serving them together. Get her to help you make it and see how easy it is.
There's tons of good pre-prepared foods these days, no point eating badly made home-cooked food. |

| Suggest that you cook a few meals together and try and make it fun. At least if she enjoys it she won't mind trying again. |

Treat it like a relaxing period from the stresses and straining of work and experement with food until you get something you both like. It sould be the fun and enjoyable. |

| Thanks Raliegh. I've been seeing some of yours too. Some good ones there. A bit of balance doesn't go too far astray, does it. |
