I always wear a skirt at home,i love the freedom and feel of it,wearing a skirt makes you feel sexy,why should girls have all the fun,what do you girls think?

Everything for the scots kilt wearers in the 18th centuary I'd say! It was a political decision that men cannot wear skirts ie deeming them inncorrect. Pedantic?

What about Viv Westwood and Jean P Gaultier skirts/kilts?

Until the majority of the populations gets over their "homophobic" fears, men will never wear skirts in public.

We are just now starting to see more men/boys getting their ears pierced (even multiple times) and it is slowly becoming more acceptable. There are still those out there that think if a man/boy has his ears pierced, he must be gay. Just imagine the ridicule a man/boy would receive if he were to be seen in public wearing a skirt, heels, painted nails, etc.

Until people get over their "homophobic" fears, we will never see the "average men" wearing skirts/kilts, heels, painted nails, etc.

Heels will shape your legs alright. Now considering men have larger muscle masses, you rcalves will get pretty darn well shaped, to where putting your slacks on again might require a little alteration!

I like skirts and dresses on ladies. Kilts are OK for guys. As far as heels go, well my western style boots have one heel style, and it ain't stiletto! LOL For the environmentalists, I do not get exotic skins for my boots, just good old fashioned ever-ready leather!

Cross dressing is rather interesting in historical terms. In riots in the 17th and 18th centuaries men would dress up in womens clothes. It's complicated but it falls into a sort of turning the world upside down feeling, that is to say not just rebelling. Hmmm not quite making my self clear here but look at morris dancers they largely wear smocks or dresses, many groups of morris *men* have a member who cross dresses. So it seems to have something to do with throwing off the constraints of everyday society just as riots are about overthrowing or protesting.

But think about the controvesy created when women started wearing trousers in the 20s 30s. So why can't men reclaim the skirt/dress if they want to? Why are some people shocked?

The romans, who wore togas which are rather dress like viewed the trouser wearers as barbarians!

And high heels were first worn by men. Look at 18th centuary french mens portraits, frock coats, high heels, wigs, make-up, painted nails...

That's what got me to remark about the size of a mens calves. Those original aristrocrats that wore the heels, had humongous calves.
